Compare background removal prices for 30 tools at 10, 50, 250, 500, and 5,000 images per month using official pricing pages.

This comparison covers 30 paid background removal tools across five practical monthly volumes. At 500 images per month, the median month-to-month comparable price was $0.03998 per image, and Claid was lowest at $0.018 per image. At 5,000 images, only nine offers published enough capacity to calculate a price.
Each point marks the median cost per image at the stated quantity; the vertical range shows the lowest and highest comparable published prices in that volume band.
The table shows Cost per image at each volume. For each column, we select the cheapest whole monthly plan or repeatable credit-pack combination that covers the quantity, then divide that cost by the image quantity in the column. A dash means the vendor did not publish enough capacity for that band; it does not mean the feature is unavailable.

Minimum subscription charges dominate at low volume. Clipping Magic's $3.99 Light plan was lowest at $0.399 per image. The median was $0.999 because buyers pay the smallest whole plan even when credits remain unused.
Background Remover's $5 Starter plan covered exactly 50 removals, producing the lowest paid comparable price at $0.10 per image. Apowersoft followed at $0.1198, then Clipping Magic at $0.1598. The median was $0.22.
Claid's $9 Essentials plan covers 500 one-credit background removals, producing the lowest comparable cost at $0.036 per image when 250 are needed. Adobe Express, Apowersoft, and Drawtify followed at $0.03996. The median was $0.07996.
Claid's $9 Essentials plan includes 500 one-credit background removals, producing the lowest comparable price at $0.018 per image. Adobe Express and Drawtify were $0.01998 under the study's interactive-editor ceiling, while Pixelcut was $0.02. The median was $0.03998.
Glorify's $97 Business plan publishes unlimited AI credits, giving the lowest comparable price at $0.0194 per image. Icons8 was $0.0198 and Aiseesoft was $0.019998. Only nine comparable offers published capacity at this band, so buyers should verify practical throughput before treating an editor subscription like a production service.
A credit is not automatically a finished image. Slazzer charges 0.2 credit for a 0.25-megapixel preview and 1 credit for a full-resolution result, a 5× increase. Cutout.pro records 0.25 credit for a preview and 1 credit for full output, a 4× increase. Across the two tools with explicit paired figures, the average full-resolution-to-preview multiplier was 4.5×.
Credits can also expire, roll over only while a subscription remains active, or be shared across unrelated AI tools. This comparison uses the published credit cost of a finished output and leaves a volume blank when that conversion or capacity is not stated.

The Background Remover comparison view shows the original portrait beside the processed result.

Photoroom's export limits list 1,000 monthly Pro exports, 3,000 Max exports, and 10,000 Ultra exports. Recorded consumer prices are shown in the table, but Photoroom is excluded from medians because consumer pricing can vary by platform and region.

This edition compares 30 tools using official vendor pricing, product, help, or checkout pages. The primary access date was August 9, 2026; older access dates are printed directly in the table. US pricing and USD are used, and tax is excluded.
For each band, the calculation chooses the cheapest whole monthly plan or repeatable credit-pack combination covering 10, 50, 250, 500, or 5,000 images, then divides that cost by the image quantity in the column. The full plan price is charged even when credits remain unused.
Published batch, export, credit, and daily limits cap comparability. For editors that publish background-removal access but no batch allowance, the study uses a 500-image interactive-editor ceiling and does not present the plan as a bulk-production service. A dash means a price was not calculated for that band.
The medians include only offers whose price, finished-image or credit conversion, usage rights, and capacity were explicit enough to compare. Photoroom and Clipdrop remain visible but are excluded from medians because of localized or older recorded prices.
